when someone gets hurt in this house, we helpfully offer to go to a store to replace the injured body part. "hey, wanna go to the foot store and pick out a new foot?," we ask. "i hear that they have a sale on big bird feet!" we also tell them that we went to the awesome store and requested a custom order awesome kid.

today c. said that he was going to return me to the mommy store for a new mommy. *sigh*

----------

it has been a lovely week for food. i made some incredible sushi, although leon claims that he's "allergic" to one of our new ingredient. i told him he should try it again to see if he gets the same results. he thinks not.

today there are fresh muffins, and leon has been experimenting with rice noodles and kale. shuddup! it's good stuff! he's some kind of noodle savant, i swear.

we've tried to freecycle and cheapcycle a dutch oven, to no avail. yeah, there's absolutely no chance that i'll find one at a thrift shop. so, today we will head to the sporting goods store. i know they have cheap ones in the camping section. and then? the amazing no-knead bread. i know i'm the last on this bandwagon. i'm no bread lemming, though. gotta let everyone else to the sperimentin for me. oh, and i will attempt sourdough again. i love me some sourdough. i am literally going to put feeding time on my calendar.

------------

speaking of rampant consumerism. okay, a dutch oven is hardly rampant, but for the sake of the entry i think you should run with it. it's sorta like i'm transitioning. 'cause that's just how i roll. i'm splurging a bit and trying a new dish soap. it may be that i have been entranced by the label, but in my defense, i have a friend who sprayed it, and i think the stuff has crack in it. i am powerless against the dish soap crack. had i but known ahead of time that there was ironing spray. i like to think that i would spray my ironing, even if it is a myth. the ironing crack would move me to iron, see. really. it would. i swear. just like this would convince me to mop:

it loves me, after all. so i have to have it, right? who am i to deny true love? we were just gifted a steamer and it is the coolest thing (technically the hottest thing) since sliced bread. i think the moppy thing would just be a lovely touch to the cleaning vibe we've got going down. 'cause i'm all about cleaning. *rolls eyes*

speaking of which, there are loads of laundry to do (that's right, i said loads.) and new products to try, so i better get crackin'.

So if you are on a cleaning spree does that mean you are going to invited people over? ;) We have to finish our dolls this week- I leave on Saturday and I am not returning until March 15.
