how is the juggling two jobs thing going? well, how nice of you to ask. let's just say that i had no idea how close to the margin we were skimming until one minimum wage job made life easier. it certainly makes things more, uh, interesting.
for example...the boys met the new neighbor yesterday while i was at work. our former neighbor d is renting out the house, and m seems like a fine fellow. they were moving m in, and had come by...not to introduce him, but to tell us that mr8 was chasing mr10 around the yard with a scythe. i do believe that our hippy pacifist card has been pulled.
dear, theLeon,
while i'm at work, pleasetobemakingsure that the children are not chasing each other around with the scythe.

rwkn
work itself is pretty much killing me dead. i leave the house at 6:30 in the morning, return to drop off kids, change, give a general idea of homework, and then return back home between 11 and 11:45. i do this three days a week, and then work 1-2 days on the weekend. on wednesday night i volunteer at a kids soup kitchen and the library. any other available time is spent hanging out with the boys or faceplant asleep at the house.
both jobs are grand, but i'm too old for this shit.
dear universe,
in search of a full time job with benefits that doesn't suck.
love,
rwkn
in my spare time, i'm knitting again. something about it getting cold and crap. i'm just so damn cold that i can hardly stand it. it's about time i crank out some handwarmers. right now i'm vacillating between these lovely lightweight lace legwarmers (shut up. they're really pretty.) and a scarf i'm knitting for a christmas present for the homeless. speaking of christmas, i'm trying, without much success, to find christmas presents for the kids that aren't boring, annoying, or temporary.
dear st. nick,
please don't bring presents that require earplugs, protective footwear, or require slave labor in the manufacturing process.
love,
me
you see why i haven't been blogging lately? i can maybe, perhaps, come up with something that might fit on a facebook update, but dang, this is like reading a phone book, eh?
