storm's-a-brewin'

we had an ice storm, lo, four years ago that knocked out our electricity for three and a half weeks. i was nine months preggers. we ended up staying at the old folks during that time, and commuting the forty minutes.

there is an ice storm hitting louisville right now, and they've already dismissed school. heck, the leon is home from work. they don't send the leon home unless it's serious. his company is not fond of losing money.

i've sent him to brave the semi-redneck (as opposed to the full on redneck) store round the corner. hopefully it won't be too ugly. we need essentials. booze. thank goodness i'm stocked up on yarn.

meanwhile, i'm engaging in important impending storm activities like trolling ebay for the pretty dolls of my youth, spinning wheels, and anything else that catches my fancy. no idle hands being the devil's handywork over here. no siree bob. as soon as i finish i'll be headed right over to youtube for some word association amusement.
