i'm trying to recover from a pippi longstocking hangover. shut up. you would be totally transfixed yourself. we ordered it from netflix? and did not get the version we were expecting, the one from our yute. nope. we got the original. well, sort of the original. duuuuuuude? we were up until all hours watching this stuff. no lie.
i'm just going to put it out there...it is impossible not to appreciate a swedish film badly dubbed. badly. did i mention how badly it is dubbed? laws. especially the scene with a hardware store clerk...hardware store clerks are the bomb, yo!
seriously, now, let's be truthful. you'd find it to be cracklike and would be unable to tear yourself from the screen. the leon? was also lured into the pipi trap. he is the litmus test, after all. if leon can't resist it? it is impossible for us mortal types to do so.
i'm going to describe it as a bad ninjaesque childhood experience. sans ninjas. and may i just add that a search for pippi leads to a bonanza of youtube goodness? because hoo ha good times.
