state of the kenobies. mr7 is at school. barely. we really scraped the timeclock today due to mischief circumstances beyond my control. *ahem* mr4 is currently playing trucks, but has also spent time trying to get his firefighters' helmet to fit under his skateboard helmet. the leon is trying to survive a cold snap while electricianing outside, and is enjoying a coffee shop beverage that i delivered with his lunch. it only cost $20 to get across town. i may possibly have severely underestimated the cost of gas this week. i imagine tomorrow morning will be much more stressful as i attempt to drive mr7 to school in a covered wagon. around the construction. since they closed off the entire street that is essential to our morning drive buti'mnotbitchyaboutitiswear.

so, it's that season, again. to celebrate, my gals and i drove to a japanese garage sale. that's how it appeared in the paper, folks. apparently? japanese family yard sales are the bomb. i was skeptical, but i shouldn't have been. i also spent gas money on some saturday sales. in no particular order, here is our booty. along with a photo of the sewing machine i scored last year, in its new home that i found on craigslist. please note that all photos have been taken with my phone. the phone that has failed me in that it doesn't actually enter things into my calendar for me and thus i sometimes miss things which sucks because a fancy phone should be your personal secretary, but, hey, at least it takes somewhat passable photos.

boo boo butterbean. not a yard sale find.
mr4 insisted that i post this picture.

dresser skirt with, i think, handmade tatting

one of my kickass "old lady" scarves

a canada apron, because it reminds me of my grandma.
(land sakes, but i miss that woman)

i got this so that the parents kids could have icy boozy goodness
wholesome organic juice snowcones this summer.

the sewing machine of awesome in the cabinet of awesome
in front of the china cabinet of awesome (also a yard sale find)

the penultimate find. yes, of course i NEED a pink unicycle. shessh.
