i love my family. the loud. the crazy. the more crazy. this weekend, however, they were out of town and it was absolute bliss.
i decided to amish myself up on the transportation front. i biked to a friend's house to knit, i biked to church, i biked to the knitting store. i biked i biked i biked. i swear i felt like five or six taking on the hills and flying down them with my breaks off and feet off the pedals.
and, oh! the weather was so utterly fabulous for it! the weather has been full of crunchy leafy goodness...i called mamawankenobie and sighed that it smelled like fall in new york. and it does. whizzing around in this weather. laws. i think i'm going to marry it. please be my forever love, fall!
i did meet up with a few friends, as well. one that i worked with at the coffee shop eons ago. then i met up with my knitting buddy - she's older and wiser and always has sage advice. there was also a bit of knitting at the shop. so, basically, knitting.
in summary: riding my bike. knitting with friends. a quiet warm air about the house.
i missed them terribly, but i wouldn't have missed them at all had they not gone.
