holy moses, guys. talk about full circle and shit. amember way back when...where i had the job that was like walking on hot coals, but not in that transforming walking above hot coals because you trusted the experience, but more because you were in hell, because you were actually burning your motherfucking feet? yeah.

and then there was that great internal debate. do looney bins have soft pillows? do they not have soft pillows? the attraction of good mental health vs. running off to sling coffee - in mostly, kind of, abject poverty. i'm not being an ass here - i think that working in an environment that started out with a good 20 minute cry in the loo? well, i think i was about a week away.

and that, my friends was history. who knew that i'd find sanity in the zen of coffee slinging (and, who are we kidding here, i had rock solid health care - careful medication might also have been a factor).

the leap to the best motherfucking church secretary gig of all time? man, someone was watching out for me. that someone, however, forgot about shoes. babies gotta have shoes, yo!

which led to side gig #2 (#1 is a bit of graphic design here and there). gig #2 is kinda cool. i get to fold my two energetic boys in with two very energetic girls and, well. sometimes it's really really festive? the time they made a castle in the backyard, strolled around surveying their domain? and then had me serve dinner out there as their maid? priceless. but sometimes? having four energetic children? well, it's ENERGETIC. also? it pays like crap. also? it's two ten hour days that last until the wee hours of the night. morning. whatever.

enter that full circle, yo! i will be slinging joe - but this time? so i can keep the job i love ever so much. it's so much better than running from away from a job. coming back this time? is a lot like going home.
