1. key lime pie. the good kind. not too sweet. like the kind grandma used to make from the florida keylimes (possibly from her back yard).

2. i worry about the karmic repercussions of killing goldfish. i want a goldfish. but the universe? seems divided on the matter.

3. the snow this past week? made me absolutely filled with glee. GLEE!

4. this hair? impossibly bad. i razor cut it with this overthecounterrazorcuttingsolution. it looks better. maybe i should do something festive with the color.

5. i still don't know how to sew.

6. it may not be good for the environment, okay it ISN'T good for the environment, but shrinkin' and dinkin'? way fun.

8. nothing sucks more than having a wee one pad into your room, sending him back, and having him return crying, "ouch! ouch! my tummy! ouch! and writhing in pain while you try to fix it. some things suck worse, i'm sure, but that was pretty bad.

20. i can't wait until my insurance kicks in, and i can afford the luxurious asthma meds that i so richly deserve...or at least richly desire.

22. the leon is teaching me monopoly. it is wreaking havoc on my limited attention span.

23. i may have egged my children into a 20 minute rap session on the glories of taco bell on our ride home from berea yesterday. yo!

24. my father is in the midst of a health care thingamajiggy and it is freaking me out a bit. even though he is probably okay.

25. i love the fact that, if you listen closely, you can hear the train in the distance while falling asleep at night.

26. i pretend shop for bungalow houses. with built ins. i love me some built ins.

27. the woman across the street is often lonely. this was her first easter without family. i sent the boys over with an easter egg of chocolate and a shrinky dinky flower.

28. can blades of glory really be that bad? i mean THAT bad?

29. i thrifted a kickass circular beaker thingy from the seventies for the baking of bread. 'cause i do that. bake bread. semi-yearly, apparently.

30. the lords of discipline is a damn fine book. believe you me. you won't believe me. but you should. damn fine book.

31. i think i'm going to try to find a church in lexington again. but it will be hard. 'cause i need three things: 1. a church that is a friend of the gay, 2. someone who can preach a good sermon, and a place for my kids to get some not creepy unjudgementalesque religious instruction. unless i go quaker again. which is a distinct possibility.

32. when my friend c finishes her dissertation i think i'm agonna get a tattoo. i've already picked the design and supahsekrit location. pssst...don't mention this to the leon.

33. i don't really miss meat or seafood but about six times a year. i'd go whole hog on the meateatin bandwagon iffin the idea didn't make me cry. 'cause i can't bear to think of someone eating my puppies in some foreign country and turning their pelts into fur collars. i can't help but think that there is some correlation.

34. i am sometimes afraid to voice my true feelings on my blogstuffs.

35. i think that i need a night of monty python, harold and maude, and the blues brothers. this might fix all sorts of problems.

36. i am at peace with the fact that i like pink. and sparkly. and perk.

37. some of the folks at my coffee shop are moving on. i know they're just kids, but they've taught me alot, and i'm going to miss them.

38. my faith in humanity has been 96.7% renewed since november 27, 2006.

41. i often think back to the overnight stay that the leon and i had in knoxville in february 2006.

42. sometimes i get lonely now that i'm at home more. on those days i work really hard to be engaged with the kids instead of engaged with the computer.

43. this summer i want to bike to the farmers market.

44. people at work were very complimentary of my legs this week.

45. when i'm not working, i hardly ever drink coffee.

46. since i found out how many calories are in a chocolate chip cookie at work, i've stopped eating them altogether.

47. i am fully convinced that i can have a real garden this summer.

48. my push lawnmower makes me feel all burly and strong. plus? i like the way it whirls.

49. it is time for the television to go. my mother used to say that the television was broken every spring. for some reason it didn't start working again until fall. a mystery.

50. i am afraid to turn our ceiling fan on or off because of that scene in indiana jones when the bald guy gets merved with the helicopter even though i saw a guy stop a ceiling fan with his tongue on david letterman. we need a longer pull chain.
