so. here we are. i went to about five dealerships yesterday, and a bit more today. toddler in tow. he was a great sport...go little guy! we had a lot of fun, and he charmed the pants off of the salespeople. it's not the first time. the cheeselady practically gives us cheese at our favorite cheese buying store. highlights: we jumped from car shadow to car shadow in one lot. got a spectacular balloon (which flew away, of course). had sushi for lunch. yumtastic. read a great book. set off a hella loud car alarm. and, most importantly, raced ride along cars through a show room.

three cars.

the absurd first. shuddap. it is awesome to drive. and has a killer sunroof. and did i mention that i'm deadsexy in this car? huh? did i? and did i mention that when i sat on my phone today, my ass downloaded some damn rap song? which i was going to call and complain about except the lyrics helpfully explain that "this is why i'm hot hot, i'm hot 'cause i'm fly, ain't 'cause you're not" which is absolutely true, don't you think? okay, not if you're not fly. but you are.


see? the sexy? and i'm hot and fly in that car. for true. one owner. called her. she said she cried when she sold it. and told me to enjoy it if i bought it. which i would. damn. i would.



okay. car number two is the old van. no. really. down to the miles. on the plus side? i know that my van was reliable, decent to drive, and does well in an accident. on the plus side? a van. leon already has been emasculated by his van. do i deserve the same fate? i mean, not emasculation, of course, but the fate of the minivan? heck. i'm young and fly. also? it is a bitch to park when dropping the kid off or picking him up which i do twice every damn day.




third. car described as, "spunky!" in the headline of a review.


see? spunky, eh? also? four doors. feels more secure. and. and. and. is a stick shift! i'll admit it, i really did love the stick shift once i really learned how to get it going. if it hadn't been for the fact that the damn car was a lemon.... spunky! stick shift! oh, and it's black. the one i'm looking at.

all of these cars had one owner. all of them in the same price range. the cars with half the mileage of the van (but it's a honda, so, ignore that...it will last forever, so long as no one wrecks the damn thing. *ahem*).
