ya wanna know what rip-roaring happy looks like? okay, so i still need to clean my house, but aside from that, life is purty swank. we're knee deep in swim lessons right now, which means that we are at the pool around ten each morning, and we often meet c's old daycare friends there, or h's old daycare friends (whom he hasn't seen since they all went to their separate kindergartens). yesterday we spent five hours there. i had a royal blast, too. the boys have both gone from non-swimmers to swimmers in less that two weeks. i know i'm a giant dork, but i still can't get over how these little guys, my babies, have gotten large enough to jump and swim all on their own. and you should see the big ass grins on their faces.

which means...that i'm not accomplishing much. i did finish some baby booties. yeah, no. didn't take a photo. but i did grab a partial of the skirt i made in my sewing class, and some of my recent yard sale finds. wheeeee!

the skirt...heather bailey fabric, thifted ecco shoes (crazy comfortable)

embroidered pillowcases in progress. i got the adjustable hoop for $2 at a yard sale...can you believe it?!!

tiny bottles for the ledge in the kitchen. i love the corn cob and the wee house.

shells. i have another box of "butterfly" shells.

vintage singer sewing machine

parts...including a hem turner and ruffler!

my favorite attachment...the "hump jumper" *snort*

recipe book binder. i swear the handwriting is just like my grandma's handwriting. 'course they all took the palmer method back then, but that's not the point. it just seemed a minor tragedy to have all these hand collected recipes get sent off to pasture.

take a gander at these advertisements

turtle book for the young men of the family

speaking of which...bonus shot at the farmers market listening to charlie. he's awesome. he remembers them, gives them tidbits about the presidents that share their names, and sings slightly ribald tunes while he plays guitar, steel guitar, banjo, or minibanjo.
