ohmygoshmyinternetprovidersucksandihaven't had the internets in one million years, for true. posts will resume shortly. heck, here are a few things right friggin' now...

i will have you know that i finished the quilt, that my binding technique measurably improved, and that i forgot to take a picture. hopefully, the recipient will be good enough to provide one upon receipt. it's going to australia. did i mention that? how cool that i'm exchanging a quilt with someone in australia! sadly, i didn't feel like i could sign up for the next round when my quilt hadn't made it. maybe next time? 'cause i'm all over it now that my technical difficulties have been resolved.

people are posting summer plans. so here are ours...

a local baseball game. they are cheesy as hell, and hilarious, and i don't feel like i am going to fall a million feet onto the field. the big leagues make me dizzy.

canoing. i don't know if it will be as fun as the canoing of my youth, and the daring adventures i took, but i'm sure it will be amusing. my mother has passed on a myriad of unusual songs from her camp fire days. including, naturally, canoe specific tunes. perhaps she will join us?

something naturey at the arboretum. they always have cool shitz going down for the younger set.

a drive-in movie. if something young kid worthy comes up. or, perhaps, we will attempt an overnight at the old folks so that the leon and i can get our drive-in on. a double feature of indiana and some tony stark? count me in.

a ferry ride.

going to a local pet store to see birds. 'cause mr5 can't get enough birds.

bowling.

the wizard of oz on the big screen. we've already read the book, and watched the dvd, so all that's left is the big screen experience. it is showing at the restored theater of awesome. during pride fest. the flying monkeys? i won't have to explain. the drag queens? i'm guessing there will be a discussion. ::grin::

a family puzzle. the first.

the train museum.

we may make a day trip to cinci, or indy iffin' the gas prices allow us.

other than that, we'll be spending our days reading swiss family robinson (in hopes of finishing before it hits the big screen), swimming at the pool, enjoying the children's museum (before it becomes passé), and all the other fun stuff we can cram in.

I miss you, when will I ever see you again?

Philip and I have a hot date at the drive-in planned for Friday night. Last year we were supposed to go to all of the area drive-ins and do a review to figure out which one is the best, but we never did it so we are trying again this year.
