i think that i'm channeling youth through noodling. noodling, it seems, is my preferred speed. c. and i have been noodling about quite a bit these days. the other day we spent a lovely morning downtown. among other things, we visited a bakery, and sat outside munching on a pastry. then visited the potties at a large financial building. we talked to "window rwkn" and "window c," and we looked at the faces and lions in the architecture of the old courthouse. today we drove to a nearby town. we walked all over and looked at horses, skipped over bridges, blew bubbles, and shared lunch.
taking things at c's speed has been interesting. he notices more than i do. takes more opportunities to change perspective. it can be difficult for me. i'm always speeding through my days, and with the car hunt...well, i've been pretty driven about that. heh. i think that i need to make room for noodling in our summer plans with h.

p.s. i'm also channeling youth through the new car purchase. i know i'm not that old, but i'm certainly feeling older than i used to, does that make sense? this was quite evident when i was car shopping. i looked at all the practical family cars, but i yearned for the sporty ones. i settled for a practical car with a stick shift. vrooom. it was incredible to drive as we tooled through horse farm country. i'm so glad to be done with the shopping, and relieved that my final choice didn't suck.

That, my dear, is a most excellent choice...
Oh man, I have no idea what noodling is. But your day sounded lovely!
And that car is too cute.
noodling around is just kind of lazily strolling 'round with no real aim.
