c is being punished, by which i mean i am being punished. damn me and my follow-through. they were holy terrors yesterday. after we walked the dogs at the park, they systematically lost day after day of television. i, i mean they, can't have any teevee until next week. seriously, i let them watch one hour of quality pbs programming a day. and a little bit more quality programming on saturday and sunday mornings when the little bastards get up at five. so now c. is permanently attached to my leg. he apparently has no capacity to play on his own for fifteen minutes without my undivided attention which i didn't know until now because i had at least one damn hour a day for myself. at least it isn't a super tuesday/thursday marathon. the leon has class twice a week these days. i.e. between work and class, and one my evening a week of freedom, i am able to see him on mondays. where the fuck are my bon-bons and the inherited wealth of unknown proportions???

so, tonight being wednesday, means that i might get a touch of the derby before setting off to meet my friends for the 2nd annual knit like a pirate day. where we shall knit in decreasing detail as we drink at the local irish pub. dressed as pirates, natch. so, life is good, and little to complain about. i could still use a television break every now and again.

It's like you are writing about my life except for the ability to knit or dress like a pirate. Don't you hate punishing children which literally hurts you more than it does them...I finally know what that old saying means.

Isn't that the truth, we get punished more than the kids I think sometimes.
