i have become my mother. last night? i fell asleep in the tub. where i dozed for an hour. back in the day, i amember my dad sending me in to check on my mama, who had invariably fallen asleep in the tub. it was a good nap, though...well, until mr7 poured water on my face to wake me up. that? notsomuch for the napping.

my quilt (pictured below) for the quilt exchange...finished! delivered! yippee! i have received my quilt too, which is awesome, and also had a little sumpin sumpin tucked in for mr7 and mr5 (who were thrilled). i will post a picture as soon as i take one. it is as cute as a button.

crocodile cooler from mr. boston. you know. "the official bartender's and party guide". it just felt summery and perfect for the sleet we had going down. no, i jest. not about the drinking...about the choice of unseasonable cocktail...it just seemed hilarious at the time.
crocodile cooler
1 1/2 oz citrus vodka
1 oz melon liqueur
3/4 oz triple sec
2 oz sour mix
lemon-lime soda.
mix 'er up, and you're done. the review? first of all, we should have matched the cocktail to the pictured glass. note to self? pick up some varied booze holders for christmas. we ended up using coffee cups. because we're classy like that. we grade the cooler somewhere between a b- and a c+. the flavors went well together, and the leon deemed it "a creeper". but excitement? notsomuch. more reviews as we progress through the book. i am firmly committed to this resolution, and will strive to stick to it this year.
