pigeon spanish. got to love it.
so. my car? charming paperweight. as we are now negotiating whose kidney should be sold and what the going rate is...well, i need an alternative way to get my assbutt into ye olde workplace. i am notoso good at accepting goodwill, and i feel as though we are a bit of a burden. after a week of mooching off my friend, i decide that my posse and i should go it alone.
thus, i found myself awake at 4:45 this morning. the leon and i wrangle the kiddies into appropriate clothing, grab the wonder woman and hello kitty umbrellas (my boys are secure in their masculinity, ya know) and slide out the door. oh, did i not mention the rain?
we are dropped off at mcdonalds. we order up some grub and run across the street to stand beneath the awning of a local copy shop. well, the boys stood. i stood at the stop. because i was afraid that we'd miss the darn thing.
oh, such excitement! the boys? they do love the city bus. first trip. couldn't get enough of it. well, until the wee-ist of the two just slid right off his seat and onto the floor. that was notsomuch fun.
we get off the bus and walk in the dark. in the rain. to the daycare. about five blocks. which is where i pick up my bike. *snort*
it rained so hard that i had to take off my glasses. and then it rained so hard that i couldn't see through the blur that is my vision. but hey, it's not like i was biking over on and off ramps to the main thoroughfare. nope.
i am clearly insane. i feel a wee bit invincible.
but notsomuch invincible that i want to try this again tomorrow. in the snow.
thank God for good friends.
