today is pretty chill. we woke up. hung out at another coffee house with a lovely friend. came home. walked the dogs. took a wee nap. i had a nice warm bath (rubbed my feets with precious salves andeverythang). oh, and we broke out the boards and took a trip to the skateboard. somewhere inbetween those things the school misplaced my first grader for a half-hour, but i'm pretty much sticking my fingers in my ears and doing a lalala number pretending that didn't happen until i hear back from the principal.
seriously. how cute are they?i do believe that i would like a grownup out to dinner with girlfriends event. i've never really done that. seems like a silly thing, but i'd like to spend the evening at a table full of festive women eating delicious food.
now, as for physical birthday presents, i'm vacillating between buying myself pretties...
but what lushy goodness to procure? decisions, decisions.

or mebbie some pseudo-practicals...
i'm guessing that i'll end up with the camera. just a hunch. oh, and just an fyi, the day ended with tea and chocolate cake frosted with chocolate icing. i highly recommend this if you happen to have such a cake lying around. thank you birthday boy! a++
