i'm thankful that:

• i'm capturing some of those fleeting moments. with my kids. with my husband. with my aging parents.

• i'm baking again. something about baking keeps me oh, so, balanced.

• those damn socks are *theeese* close to being done. i know that i say that a lot, but this time it is true. thirty minutes to doneskee.

• my old job is throwing me some freelance. freelance that i'll really enjoy and that will give me some bucks here and there.

• i feel comfortable choosing what freelance jobs i want to take.

• my husband is such an awesome awesome dad. it's a bit stressful transitioning to a, uh, fuller? home life. we've got four days this weekend. and i'm working on three of them. today? he's had them help make bread, and i've caught him playing games and laughing with the boys on numerous occasions. it's nice knowing that he's reading books with them at night, and tucking them in to bed. all hail the leon!

• i'll still be able to afford the gym membership.

• i get to make creative lunches for my boys. [a quick aside: i got one of those boiled egg mold bento thingies? so awesome!]

• i've got such a great itunes mix. all hail the itunes!

• i inherited the paisley tea set, and had enough pieces to share with my brother. that was so fun! we're learning to be friends as adults. it is terribly amusing.

• i am surrounded by young vibrant things and my new job. it reminds me to a) relax, and b) laugh more.

• i have internets friends to inspire me, and challenge me.

• my kid is having so much fun learning spanish. he speaks to us in spanish as much as possible.

• i have cultivated a group of girlfriends that don't let me off the hook, and make me laugh so hard i can hardly sit in a chair.

• there is hope. hope that i'll learn to be joyful without fear.

there's more. so much more. but these will have to do for now.
