two son's
bedrooms.

a computer desk
in the closet.

i can hear them here

breathing in
breathing out
peacefully.

i hope they're
happy dreams

i hope they're
dreaming of the
halloween candies
that are doled out
two per day.

i hope they're
dreaming of
lions, and
tigers, and
bears - oh my!

most of all?
i hope they're
flying above
the clouds.
unfettered by
earthly concerns.

simply feeling
the wind hold them
float over them
and rush over
their sleeping bodies.
