well, friday was a barrel o' laughs. seriously. the kindly med lady told me to take something before bedtime. if it made me sleepy i was supposed to simply take it once a day. uh, yeah. remember friday? i don't. i got to the daycare and realized that i couldn't make it the five minutes to work. i struggled home and woke up at, get this, three. methinks i won't be taking any more of that thankyouverymuch.
oh, and since we're rolling in money, the furnace decided to go out. amusing, no? leon thinks he can fix it (he is so sexay) but we have to wait until monday to get the part. needless to say, space heaters and the gas fireplace are our friends. ah, but keeping the young ones out of said fireplace has been a laugh a minute. no, honey, you really don't want to set the house afire.
but DSL!!!! finally!!!! wheeee!!!! seriously? about 1.5 minutes ago. 'course the tech guy landed at the house in time to see me, resplendent in my snoopy pajamas. for some reason, i happen to be wearing a bra. but the perpetual bedhead? in full swing. yes, indeedy. apparently, no one had connected the dsl line. huh. imagine that.
so, fun times. i thought i'd add to it by working on that dress that i've convinced myself i'll be able to sew by friday night. i really do entertain myself. did i mention that it has piping? piping is an absolute nightmare for one with rusty sewing skillz. i think it was a great project to use to leap back into the fray. oh, that too. the fabric? she is fray city.
i must say that the arrival of holiday cards has helped keep my lack of optimism in check. ms. golden state sent a lovely ducky which the chilluns are especially fond. DSL and holiday cheer. i'm all about it, baby.
oh shitz! i just realized that i have had a banana sticker affixed to my head all day. notsomuch a big deal in the comfort of your own home, or at a banana convention, but a gal likes to look her best when entertaining visitors...*bang*head*desk*
