so, we're making baby dolls tonight. you'd think i could figure out the right shade of material for my boys...you'd be wrong. i spent an inordinate amount of time trying to figure out just how brown they are. i thought about trying to replicate the shade differences, but i decided to go with something inbetween.

i remember seeing the cosby show, back in the day, and thinking that they had horrible casting...i mean, none of those people matched, darn it. *snort* that whole gene pool mixin' thing escaped me. basically, the offspring in a mixed marriage can be as light as the lightest grandparent, or as dark as the darkest one. it's a little like trying to mix the same paint color from scratch twice in a row.

have i mentioned lately how much i love my husband? he whipped up a great dinner, called to make sure i wasn't using the pinapple in a dish that i had planned, and he's currently cleaning the house. shizzzam!
