i called a gal from work the other day. she didn't answer, so i did the obvious thing. i serenaded her with the stevie wonder hit, "i just called to say, i love you." it didn't occur to me that she wouldn't know the song. she didn't, of course, because the song is old. how old, you ask? well, i was bemoaning the situation to a friend, and she pinpointed the date as 1981...because she remembers buying the 45 for her boyfriend. 26 years ago.

yeah, and when i relayed this funny tale to the gal from work? she drew a blank. because she didn't know what a 45 was. *bangs head*
