for all intents and purposes, this should have been a shitty day. first of all, i ended up driving the leon's blind ass to east hell and gone for work. people? he's not just jaunting across town every day...nope. he's driving through bfe and beyond. and it is a boooooooooring drive, at that. nothing really scenic save for some cows and horses. there were a fair share of thrift/antique shops that i have filed away in my noggin for future purposes, however. which leads me to...the in the middle of nowheresville goodwill. boy was it good to me. i found a good ten or so books from my favorite 1974-1980 era...all awesome. and hoity toity work shoes which should save me from my old hag shuffle after a night at work. i do believe that they hadn't even been worn. oh, and all for the cheap. we drove on to a nearby town where the wee guy hopped and skipped around. we also had cake. there were some historic buildings that we walked through while we were there, and we have plans to return in order to see the gem and mineral museum (as well as some amazing blown glass). it was just a great day, you know? nothing really planned...lots of adventure...and plenty of reading when we got home.
