today was a pain in my lilly white ass, but we all survived, so i'll take it. there was also quite a bit of awesome...if you're the kind of person who knows how to look for it. you know i'm that gal. the bitter girl with a heart of gold. *snort*

people got to school. they were fed. all was good. naps were taken. yea! nappage! and i spent less than twenty minutes engaged in battle with customer service at a local utility company. also? i won. *nahnanahnahbooboo*

first grade had thankful thursday today. i was notsomuch thankful that they did not release the troops after our "thankful" meal (what kind of p.c. bullshit? what happened to thanksgiving? i must know). nope. they had to keep him for another hour. you know...so that they could educate him with a fucking movie. yeah, 'cause if i took him with me it would be a tardy. i was so grown up. you'd be so proud. i didn't even flip them the bird on the way out. i simply sent him back in to class and ran an errand before braving the school traffic in order to pick him up. karma was proud, too. got an ace space right in front.

so. i declared it afternoon of awesome. we rented a movie. made healthy pizza. played some wii. yeah, nobody can unedumacate my chilluns like i can. i win at irony, too.

and now i wait for the leon to return so that i can school him at wii. i will fold laundry in the meantime.
