a former client has contacted me. she loved the work i did for her, and wants an official identity system. she also wants to brainstorm about brochure ideas.

on the one hand? i love working with her. the money is good (also speedy), and she is very reasonable. we make a good team. and it's kind of thrilling playing around with logo ideas, and such - so many ways to play out an idea.

on the other hand? i am, quite possibly, still burned out on the graphic design. cranking stuff out to look good to other people, deadlines, the whole caboodle. it's tiresome. and it churns the old noggin. i keep turning ideas around in my head trying to find a solution to the puzzle.

i'm at the coffee shop on my day off. there is something about the customers that i see each morning that make my day. we have such a good atmosphere...jovial, warm...it's a great place to be on a cold morning. the internet is faster here, and it's good to get out of the house. i've cozied up with a good drink, and i'm looking at different logos and such trying to jumpstart some inspiration.

next up, of course, a nap. mmmmmm. is this a fabulous day, or what?!
