today i hosted a baby shower for someone who i work with at the coffee shop. he's a nice young lad, and scared shitless. i figured some celebrating would ease his nerves. i'm very proud of myself as i didn't go overboard (which i'm prone to do). instead, it was a nice relaxing event for me, as well. there were massive amounts of pupcakes, and a gal from work and i hit up the mexican supermarket so that we could make rock solid fresh salsa and guacamole. i didn't "quite" finish their present, so i gave them a "promise bootie" and will turn in my homework tomorrow. *grin*

then a quick trip on the market circuit. co-op for local goods and sales, meijer for fruit (organic fruit is sometimes very economical there, as is their bread), and then whole foods for whatever else we might need. tonight i will prep breakfast casserole (a first for me...i've never assembled such a thing!), and pack lunches. the first day after a shop is always so exciting. i feel like santa stuffing the stockings. by the last day? i'm drudging about cursing my compulsion to pack lunches.

in the upcoming week, i'll be starting the ever stressful, but always enjoyable, doll quilt process. i'll let you know how things are shaping up as soon as i have anything to say!
