my father asks if he's cool. i always say no. but just now? he has been regaling the kiddos with stories about lava, and all the times that he's run across it. and then he asks them if they want to see lava. what kind? he asks, and offers two choices (he also has volcanic ash). then they start talking about fossils, and he asks them if they want to see his collection. i'm so not telling him that he's cool now. even though he is.
